I have had entirely too many conversations with entirely too many people just in the last week about the "fairness" of certain situations. What was that you said? It's not "fair" that you have to work second shift while the younger employee works the first? It's not "fair" that you are sick and the lady that chain smokes isn't? It's not "fair" that she has a boyfriend, and you don't? And on and on and on...
My friends, are you serious? It's not fair that GOD was MURDERED for the ATROCITIES that we DAILY commit. WE DESERVE to be BURNING in HELL right now for the MULTITUDE of times we have BLASPHEMED THE NAME of CHRIST just in the last hour! Why don't we understand this? We ALL have SO MUCH MORE than we deserve!
Next time you think something is unfair, just remember the most unfair act that was ever committed. It was done BY US, to Him, who was completely undeserving.
Now THAT'S NOT FAIR.

This very thought has been on my heart lately. We say it without thinking. "It's not fair....." No, it's not. And it never will be. I've tried hard to guard my tongue from that very phrase. How many times have I told my daughter, "life isn't fair." It's not supposed to be. We have a JUST God that we serve. What more could we ask for?
