"Come now, you who say, 'Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, and spend a year there and engage in business and make a profit.' Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away. Instead, you ought to say, 'If the Lord wills, we will live and also do this or that.' (James 4:13-15)
Right now, I am perhaps the most uncertain about what my future holds as I have ever been. The next 10 months are almost completely up in the air. While I sometimes crave a little bit of certainty, I'm ultimately not worried about it. Did you read the above verses? We are not promised certainty in anything earthly. The only certain thing we have is Christ, His person, His work, and His promises. I'm good with that. Please pray for our family as we make many big decisions in the upcoming months.
"Whom have I in heaven but You? And earth has nothing I desire but You. My flesh and my heart may fail, however; the LORD is my portion forever." (Psalm 73:25-26)
